Eliana Crenshaw
November 18, 2008
On November 12th the Crenshaw’s gave birth to their 3rd child…their daugther Eliana Elizabeth Crenshaw. We praise God for His love and for blessing us with another child. Through a season of miscarriages, He has been our rock. We prayed earnestly for another child and God answered our prayers by blessing us with Eliana (who’s name means “God has answered our prayers”). We are thankful for all of the volunteers, youth and their parents who have prayed for us and been so supportive. We love you guys.

Check out this website called “Rebelution”http://www.therebelution.com/. This is a website dedicated to challenging youth to “Do Hard Things, a rebellion against low expectations” Alex and Brett Harris are college students who have a ministry dedicated to challenging teens to take more responsibility and to rebel against society that sees youth as lazy, incapable and immature. The book “Do Hard Things” is an excellent read and will challenge parents and students to take on more responsibility.

The 4 year birth of Mpact
September 16, 2008
Mpact is the part of our Fellowship Student Ministry where students come together to have fun, eat cool snacks (well cheese puffs and soda if you think that is cool), worship together, and be encouraged to go out into our schools, sports teams, friend groups, etc. to Mpact (impact) them for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The “M” is for Memphis, but you will also notice that there is no i in Mpact. We believe that together is how we can change Memphis and not alone. For 4 years Mpact has had a vision to reach students across Memphis grades 6th-12th. Our vision is to see this movement not just be a Fellowship Memphis event but a movement of students from all over Memphis. A movement that does not care about race or how much money your parents make or where you go to school. It is a place where students can come be encouraged to be launched throughout the week to be Priest’s around the city caring for their peers and others. Well for 4 years it has been adult visioned and adult run. Why? If this is a student movement shouldn’t students run it? The answer is YES! Last night Fellowship Memphis’ students were handed the keys to the family car so to speak and told go for a spin. Memphis Students….this baby is yours even if it took 4 years to birth. Let’s see what you’ve got!
Back To “Pool” (School)
September 3, 2008
Summer is fastly coming to a close. Sleeping late is replaced with 6:00 am alarms. Watching the third ESPN episode in a row is replaced with Algebra and partial freedom is replaced with…well school. Most, if honest look forward to school starting back. It is a great chance to see old friends and make new ones. One thing that is missed is how much fun summer can bring. The Back To “Pool” (School) Party” was our last effort to soak in some rays and enjoy a warm day around the pool with friends. We had a blast with our own Fellowship Olympics featuring the Waves against the Jelly Fish. We ate 20 pizzas and met new friends. Kind of like school without the pool, pizza, Olympics, and chilled atmosphere. As we say goodbye to a great summer and hello to a new school year and ministry year here at church, remember to (in the famous words of Cheryl Crow) put your 45 (Sonscreen) on so you can rock on. It will be a great year. I am praying for you all as you kick off the school year. Let no one look down on your youth.
Oh I can’t wait for school
